Menus and programmes use different languages
Changing the player interface to a preferred language does not create an audio track or subtitle file. The programme source determines what is available. Tell the team whether you need Icelandic text, Icelandic speech, English subtitles or the original soundtrack.
Test more than one title
Open a film, an episode and a live programme if all three matter to you. Look for the player’s audio and subtitle controls while playback is active. A subtitle option on one film does not establish support across an entire season or channel group.
Readability matters
Check subtitle size, contrast and placement from your normal seating position. Confirm synchronisation after pausing or seeking where supported. Settings can be stored by the app rather than the account, so another television may need its own adjustment.
Give support a reproducible example
Share the title, season and episode, language choice, device and player. State whether subtitles are missing, delayed or incorrectly labelled. Avoid sending private access URLs. The team can check the current source or discuss available alternatives without promising a language track that does not exist.
